Cri de Coeur Chardonnay

Crittenden Estate Cri de Coeur Chardonnay is sourced from the winery's Home Vineyard on the Mornington Peninsula, planted to I10V1 clone Chardonnay.

Handpicked fruit is gently whole bunch pressed to a mix of new and one year old French oak barriques. Fermentation begins with natural yeasts, with temperature control ensuring the juice retains clean fruit characters.

The wine matures for 11 months with occasional lees stirring early on. A large portion undergoes malolactic fermentation. Prior to bottling, the barrels are blended in tank for stabilization and filtering.

Light straw, Crittenden Estate Cri de Coeur Chardonnay has pure fruit flavours, subtle toasty oak and taut acidity. Cellaring potential is six years.
